Goals and Objectives

1. To promote education and cooperation among hobbyists and others interested in the study, culture, and propagation of cacti and other succulents.

2. To support actions aimed at the conservation of cacti and other succulents in their native habitats.

3. To assist in introducing new succulent plant material into cultivation in South Florida, and to publish information regarding their culture.

4. To make the general public aware of the functions of SFCSS, and to engage, as incident to any of the foregoing purposes, only in activities that are consistent with and within those of an educational organization as defined by the United States Internal Revenue Code.

The Cereus Chatter is a full color publication produced exclusively for members of SFCSS, Inc.

Palm Beach Flower and Garden Show

The society sponsors the succulent section of the judged show. Demonstrations and lectures about succulents are presented to the public by society members. The society also maintains a plant sales booth in the Market Place at the show.
